It was a beautiful sunny summer day when Daisy the Cow was asked by Gracie the Pig what was her favourite memory of being here at The Sanctuary.
The two had been taking an afternoon stroll through the cool grass under the trees. Daisy smiled and said when Mr. Farnum brought her here to be a surrogate mother to the calves. Daisy explained that the day she arrived there were calves in desperate need of milk and though Daisy didn’t think she could nurse the calves, she instantly became their mother. It was a dream of Daisy’s to one day have children of her own but it was never meant to be until Mr. Farnum showed up in her previous barn and asked if she’d like to realize her dream. Daisy turned to Gracie and said, ‘Thanks to Mr. Farnum’s compassion, my world is filled with so much joy and abundance because my dream has been realized - I have children.” Gracie looked up at Daisy with a tear in her eye sharing, “that is a beautiful memory, Daisy.” The two friends continued their stroll returning to The Sanctuary’s barn.
May you wear Daisy to nurture and nourish your dreams as if they are your children. Show them compassion. Be perceptive when time and space is required to heal; then do so for joy and abundance can only be realized when fear is not present.
